Amanda Towell known as Red by most people, was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. She is interested in editorial, photojournalism, but focuses mainly on sports photography and her personal figure studies work.

There are hundreds of muscles in the human body. They are all unique and interesting in their own way. Every person sculpts and builds these muscles differently. Amanda finds the hard work that it takes to gain these muscles amazing she uses light and composition to sculpt and display the muscular structures and forms of the human body in its different variations.

Red is the color of passion, of excitement, warmth and anger. Red is synonymous with fire, love and a warm summer day. ‘Red’ is also the nickname given to Amanda by her friends, and personifies a unique soul. Her Love for photography began to bloom as a little girl carrying around a point and shoot film camera. Red’s passion grew during her career as a five time Sault College athlete, where she lead the lady Cougars as their captain. It also inspired her to focus her career primarily on sports photography. Her warmth is tempered by her maternal instincts since she has two young children at home.
